| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Mar 7, 2010 Pours a light golden color with zero head. Medium carbonation and a very light aroma - smells of light hops. Gotta say that this beer is very similar to a Heineken. Not anything special. Would not recommend this macro. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 20, 2010 Pours a clear yellow with a thin, white head. It has a faint, mildly hoppy aroma. The taste is of EXTREMELY bland malt with fuel notes prevelent. ChainGangGuy (2776), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 17, 2010 12 ounce bottle - $1.49 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours out a clear, goldenrod-colored body with a medium-sized, frothy, white head.
Smell: Lightly sweet-scented impression of malts and a little whiff of hops. While it doesn’t elicit any excitement, I sure as hell have smelled far, far worse in a beer.
Taste: Excruciatingly thin flavor of ultra pale malts imparting a touch of sweetness and a hint of sourish grains. Sparsely spicy hops with just enough light bitterness to be noticed. The finish is both dry, clean, and crisp, but somewhat short, so Amstel Light is a lot like life, really. One minute it’s there, and the nex---
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Bordering on being watery.
Drinkability: Sure, it’s uninteresting and comes up a tad watery, but it IS a light lager. Harmless and forgettable, if it weren’t for these humble notes, I’d be hard-pressed to recall the details. basspro76 (271), New York, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 15, 2010 God, why would you order this? Why was this beer created? If you buy this you should be shot. There are literally thousands of other beers I would spend my money on rather then this, the bud light of Europe. Sammer (130), Plano, Texas, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Feb 13, 2010 All in all, a decent light beer. Agree that the taste is rather thin, but when drinking a light beer we have to be realistic as to our expectations. Like most light beers, I would only drink in an emergency (i.e. having a light beer vs. not having a beer at all!). bierslaaf (51), Waxhaw, North Carolina, USA

Pours clear light yellow with diminishing frothy white head leaving significant lacing. Malty aroma which was actually surprisingly pleasant. Balanced taste but thin on the palate and some bitterness in the short finish. Actually, not bad for mass produced light beer.
