For a beer of only 3.8% alc/vol this one had plenty of body. There was a definite roastiness present, and the hopping was spot on. This is one I could come back to many times if available.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 26, 2010 Brown with a fine grey head. The aroma is malt dominated with notes of roasted malts and caffe latte. The flavour is both refreshing and complex at the same time: cold caffe latte notes dominate. Excellent. davidm (331), Melbourne, Australia

A bit like New castle Brown Ale but a bit more hollow Nemuri (2), Germany does not count | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 17, 2010 This beer looks great - it has nice deep dark brown color with beige head. That’s exactly how good dark beer should look like. But taste of the beer definitely fails to satisfy the promise made by the appearace. It’s flat and reveals total lack of any vision of the autors. If not vision, it would be good to have at least some idea in which direction to go. In my opinion, the beer lacks even that... hawthorne00 (295), Australia
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 16, 2010 Pours brown with a fair beige head. Smells of chocolate, some roasted malt and a little grass. The taste is just a little sweet and there’s an emptiness in the middle palate. Rather like weak black iced coffee. Dull.
