COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
League of Hops Series- White IPA Which one is it, a Belgian Witbier or an American India Pale Ale? White Lies is an unfiltered White IPA. Pale and hazy Wit & IPA hybrid with a round malt base and a spicy yeast character. Intensively tropical Equinox and Mosaic hops give this IPA a big punch of fruitiness.

330ml bottle. Pours clear amber, white head. Aroma is sweet malty, bit wheaty, citrussy, piney. Strong malty profile, quite high hopiness, citrussy and piney. Medium + body, average carbonation. It's not the freshest one, but still tastes really good, nice maltiness and decent hopiness.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up via Beergium. Pours clear orange-gold with a. dense, frothy, off-white head. The aroma holds faded pine, ripened citrus fruits, lightly toasted pale malts. Medium sweet flavour with lots of crackers pale malts, some white grape, jammy orange, marmalade, bitter pine. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with average carbonation. Somewhat resinous in the finish, with some crunchy grains and crackers, more jammy citrus fruits, aged pine. So so overall.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21B-white). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 135 (BBF 20012018). AROMA: medium oxidized hops (dried grass, almost cheesy) and medium-low oxidized malt (stale/slight caramely). medium-low to low metalic note. APPEARANCE: gold color and clear. medium white head, moussy, with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium oxidized hops (dried grass), some pine. medium-low oxidized malt (slight stale/caramelly). medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: altough still within its best before date, already a gonner... demands re-tasting.

150ml draught at Sori Taproom. Hazy golden body. Low white head. Spotty lacing on the glass. Floral nose with citric hints. Developing taste profile of wheat, grass and mid-sweet apples. Semi-dry bitter endnotes. Soft in the mouth. Fine partner to my Sori burger. (Helsinki 28.11.2017).

Bottle. Pours clear golden with some white foam on top. Nose displays mainly some tropical fruity hops, that are there in front of some witbier yeast spices and overall banana - cloves mixture. Tastes quite fruity, interesting creamy texture that makes this beer slide down quickly. Bitterness is still relatively high, herbal and leaves some dry bitter tingle into the finish. Overall quite decent attempt on the style (White IPA), enjoyable.
