Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Goldings Summer Hop Ale is a light-flavoured bitter made with Kentish malt and fresh Goldings hops. Harvested from hop gardens within five miles of the Shepherd Neame brewery in Faversham, the beer is almost floral-scented, with a unique biscuity taste.

Golden brown coloured beer. Fast vanishing white head. Some grass in the nose. Some sourness and lemon in the taste. In the end bite of hops. A nice summer refreshner. 0.5L bottle.

Bottle: Poured an orangish copper with a creamy off white head. Aroma was fruity herbal hop, caramal and cookie malt aroma. Bitterness was soft and subtle behind a caramal malt flavour, slightly dry herbal bitterness in the finish, a little buttery. A bit underwhelming overall, or perhaps I’ve just had my palate desensitized by west coast Double IPAs, or I expected some hoppy monster from a beer named after a hop variety.

weak malty aroma and slight skunkiness. Pours a golden brown, thin head. Chalky, metallic, some hops. Not really enjoyable.

Bottle. Orange/golden color with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, grassy/floral hops and light frutiness. Taste of biscuity malt, toffee, grass, apricot, honey, nuts and light citric notes.

Amber. White head. Citrus and fresh hops in aroma and flavor. This is a refreshing bitter that I rally liked.

Certainly not a strong beer. Aroma is interesting but not as powerful as advertised. Very foamy, slowly dissolving head. Colour is a lovely copper. Very lightly carbonated. Hops flavour is very distinctive. Not a bad "sitting on the dock" beer.

Orange-brown with white head. Fresh aroma with notes of hops and roasted malts. Slightly acidic. Fruity flavor with some sweetness and spiciness. Dry bitterness.

Darkish golden with a small white head. Big flowery aroma, lots of fresh golding notes, which in my opinion is much better than the stale cardboard aroma I’ve found in every other beer I’ve tasted from this brewery. Anyway, its good and hoppy. Body is full enough, giving some basic bitterness and toffee notes. Not overly complex, but at least its got some flavour. Crisp finish.
