Pours a brown and red color with a very nice frothy, off-white head. Aroma is strong of Munich malt, some apple fruit notes with some nice nuttiness to it as well. Flavor has a lot of straw/grass flavors, Munich malt roasted notes, light sweet fruit flavor and a really heavy walnut ending. Beer has low carbonation and a moderate density to it. Overall the nutty aroma and flavor dominate making it a pretty enjoyable beer.

courtesy of Tony at OTH. pours copper/brown, beige head. Aroma light malts and caramel. Taste, caramel, malts, some hops. Is it the Ft Collins version of Fat Tire? Simple and easy to drink.

Beautiful color. Nice lasting tan head. Aroma heavy of caramel malts. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with more caramel and biscuit malts and a lot of hop dryness. Heavier carbonation than expected. Packs something of a punch, but is ultimately a little one-dimensional.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with an off-white head and a hazed light brown body. Aroma is dusty peanut shells and the nuts themselves. Taste is malty with cardboard nuts and caramel. Light bubbles, dry mouthfeel.

Nice amber pour with an off-white head that leaves soapy lace down the glass. Sweet toffee nose with some floral notes as well. The flavors are not cloying, but rather drier and slightly biscuity malts, with caramel/toffee effervescence, and just a touch of copper/metallic hues. The finish is of woody bitters and closes well. Decently integrated. with almost a strong, English-defined ESB feel, just slightly maltier. Medium mouthfeel with decent carbo levels to liven the palate. Not bad for an amber.

[1860-20081112] 355mL bottle. Grainy mild dark fruit aroma. Clear, dark red amber body with a medium-lasting foamy light yellow tan head. Grains and toasted dark fruit flavour. Medium body. Not bad, drinkable.

Decent sized head of fine and dense bubbles. Composting grass, vegetal notes, roasted grains and dry leaves in the aroma. Color is a very nice crimson brown. Sharp roastyness and bitterness to the flavor. Grainy mouthfeel with a stronger bitterness than expected. Not a very good brew.
