Commercial Description:
Our 100th batch, brewed for the enjoyment of the brewers, but popular demand forced us to release it commercially. Most enjoyable in a comfortable chair in front of a roaring fire.

Recommended serving temperature 16°C/61°F Ingredients: Maris Otter, wheat, and chocolate malt; Columbus, Chinook, and Centennial hops; English ale yeast, and our local Grimstad water.

23,5°P, 80 IBU, 10% ABV.

Editor’s note: Even though the label says "Barley Wine" in the States, the brewery says it’s brewed to be an IIPA. The American label was a glitch. In Europe it’s sold as an IIPA.

Crushed with Jakebra and hopefully with Honkeybra. Very confused after reading the description. Dont care what they say, it smells and looks like a barley wine. Flavor is ipa. Nice, could be the greatest combination ever. Pours black, nose of big hops and definitely dark fruits. Mostly hops in the flavor, which I guess makes it a ipa. Wicked bizzah and awesome. Awesome no matter what it happens to be. Honkeybra, gimme more.

Bottle. Really dark IIPA indeed! Aroma is pretty light with some malt, chocolat and sweetness. Also some alcohol in there. Nice seducing red/brown color. small head. Taste is really sweet with lots of malt, caramel, chocolat, coffee and some alcohol. Almost some bready notes in there aswell. Kind of bitter finish with some alcoholburn. The malt is really dominating in this beer. Mouthfeel is creamy and good. Different and enjoyable!

Bottle. Pours a rich brown with a thin white head. Aroma is dark fruit and sweet malts. Notes of floral hops, citrus, fall spices, and caramel come out. On the palate, it is light, a little dry, and refreshing. The flavor brings the hop pressence forward along with a bit of the dark fruit. It finishes bitter and dry. It was very good.

Pours dark brown, almost black, with a huge two-finger beige head, long lasting lacing. Smells of grapefruit, pine, apple, molasses and chocolate. Medium thick body. Tastes of bitter chocolate, coffee, bread, citrus and pine. Medium bitter finish. Delicious.

Bottle. 22 oz. Pours chesnut hazy brown with a tan, creamy head. Aroma of barley, brown sugar, honey, vanilla, citrus, and hops. Medium bodied with a thick, warm mouthfeel. Great barley wine.

Purchase at the New Beer Distributors in NYC. Dark red in color with a three finger head that descents at a very slow pace. The aroma is very interesting and nice with hints of citrus. Taste of hops, but well balanced and hides the alcohol fairly well.

Bottle. Pours a brown colour with a foamy medium tan head. Aroma is dry, with notes of malt, honey, hops and nuts. Flavour is malt, chocolate, hops and liquorice with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. It opens up as the temperature rises. Nice!

Bottle - Pours a deep brown with a tight vanilla head. Sweet citrus aroma, with a hint of spices. The strong citrus aroma is replaced by a short citrus taste up front, followed by a creamy malt flavour and a dry bitter finish. Really nice mouthfeel and very smooth
