Not a stong aroma or flavor like all the other Stone’s. Has a nice thick texture but does lack some flavor. The hops are mild and the malt is too giving room for the honey and flower sweetness i sense. Had this numerous times on tap and 6 packs but now i finally bought a pint and got around to critiquing it.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 16, 2010 Pours clear, light amber in color with a solid white foamy head that clings to the glass from top to bottom. The nose is light grapefruit, biscuit, and a touch of honey. The palate is very smooth, almost creamy with a lasting finish. The flavor is well-balanced, a touch of sweetness giving way to lightly bitter hops. This is one of the best Pale Ales I’ve had. The balance in flavor is so satisfying. It keeps calling me back for more. lovemyipas (450), sw burbs, Illinois, USA

I will have to revisit. misterbeer (130), greenwood, Indiana, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 10, 2010 2007: Clear amber-orange with a massive head. Looks very creamy from the top. Very little haze. Head goes away, but lace gladly takes its place.
Has the nice pale malt smell with an undertone of flowery, bitter hops. Good malt/hop balance. Has a dry/yeast smell. Typical malt smell, but a good one.
Very dry and male malt flavor, with a bready yeast. Somewhat fruity actually.
A very crisp, dry ale. A tiny bit bubbly, like ginger ale. Though it isn’t quite as remarkable as other Stone brews, it’s very good. Maybe I expected more. Dry, pale, very nice. beerfest5 (267), Simsbury, Connecticut, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2010 Funny how twelve years ago this would have been considered an aggressive beer. Now it’s kind of middle of the road. Aroma is slight, with bread and hay dominating. Reddish amber appearance (not so pale?). A nice mellow pale ale, almost a session beer. Very clean finish. radioseer (165), Virginia, USA

Aroma is of pale malt and floral hops. Tastes of good quality bread, hay and a little caramel malt. Also has a light hoppy quality for balance. Oily texture and light to medium body. Great pale ale.
