Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Bottle. Pretty crisp with a light but lasting hop bitterness. Sort of an odd, possibly unintended sweet flavor that I couldn’t pinpoint, but was reminiscent of butterscotch. Otherwise, pilsner-y and boring.

Not a horrible beer. I think this would be a perfect cross over beer for your macrobeer drinking buddies.

Bottle from Seattle 08’. Golden pour with big head development. This is a really solid pilsner. I like their other offerings more but this was great for a summer on the patio.

Pours a golden straw color with a small white head. Aroma of straw and a bit of malt. Flavor is a bitter grassy flavor with a bit of malt. Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation. Not exciting but a very refreshing beer.

Fairly nice looking pilsner, golden in color with a snow white head, haed retention is pretty good, head slowly fades into a soapy film. Not much flavor going on, slight maltiness, not terribly hoppy, a fairly weak offering. Never trust a coloradan to do a Midwes german’s job

Bottle. Not a big fan of this style but for a pilsener, not bad. Clean, golden color, what you would expect from a pilsener. The aroma is like most traditional, american pilseners. Had a nice bitter flavor that would have been better on a hot summer day. Recommened at least once.
