Big raspberry nose with lots of alcohol - like a brandy already. Lovely rust-amber color, low lathery head. Sweet fruity base - juice-like, and at times cough-syrup-like. Leaves a sugary coating on the lips. Tangy spicy end. Thick body. This is a huge beer. Would like to re-rate an aged bottle.

This was one interesting beer. A big raspberry aroma with some alcohol showing. The flavor is sweet and warming with raspberries and not much else going on. It was almost brandy like in character. The alcohol is not very noticeable. Dont play around with this stuff you’ll be on the floor.

Bottle shared with Ralph, HogTownHarry, blankboy, DougShoemaker & mds - courtesy of Ralph. Beautiful golden-copper colour with a small white head. Aroma is tart, a bit funky, fruity (raspberries obviously, but also a but of peach). Body is crisp. Flavour is quite dry, with juicy tart raspberries coming through loud and clear. The finish has a hint of alcohol warmth, but not nearly as much as you might expect from an 18% beer. A really fantastic treat!

Mandarin Orange/Gold Coloring. Raspberry Alcohol on the Nose. Flavor is Out There. This is an Extreme Beer. Little Sips Only. The Alcohol Dominates the Scene.. The First Thing I Thought Wss, ’I Wonder What it Would Taste Like in 5 Years?’ Definitly Needs Some Mellowing Time. Very Syrapy Sweet, Raspberry Fruit Flavors, Plenty of Hops To Attempt to Keep This Brew in Check. I am Excited to Open Another Aged Bottle in the Future to See What Happens to This Brute

Tangerine tones, clear, nearly, tea-like...under an adequate whitish head, soon to diminish...lovely look, though... Sweet in the nose, large and in charge fruit, raspberry tart, but not too loud, shining cassis, as well...beautiful berries...very nice... Tastin’...lovely, thick, big and bold....framboise on steroids, to be cliched...slick alcohol sneaks in...yum, but...booze staves off drinkability a tad...yum, raspberries, ...whoop, big fat booze... is it better than a Lindeman’s? ...it’s boozier, that’s for sure... Definitely tasty, throughly well crafted...just too boozy. Yum, I say, as I am wont to say... delish...if oversized...yummy-yum....

kp’s Fest of 26. Clear red/amber body with a fleeting white head. This starts out with a wonderful raspberry aroma, devoid of alcohol despite it’s purported 18% alcohol. Some berry flavors with a bit of dryness and a touch of cough syrup. Remarkable if it really is 18% alcohol.

750 ml bottle. Pours an orange red color with a small white head. Aroma is all raspberries with traces of alcohol. Flavor is a mixture of sour raspberries with a slight hint of alcohol. Tastes better as it warms. This beer needs to be aged a bit to get the most out of it. Not worth the expensive price that comes with it, but a rather interesting creation.

When I first took a whiff of this beer, it reminded me of the Quelque Chose. Once I took a sip, it was WAY better. Although I am not a fan of the fruit beers, this one was very good for me! I wish there were a little more raspberries in the mix. I felt like it should have been over the top with raspberries. I do believe the strong alcohol content really helps this beer out a lot even though it is not super prominent like most beers of this abv. Get one and enjoy! Cheers!
