Commercial Description:
Celebrating 20 years of remarkably good taste! Characterized by a medium-body & dry well-balanced finish, this deep brown porter brewed with Dutch cocoa and pure raspberry extract evokes chocolate, caramel and fresh tart raspberries. Keeping our specialty product cool, still & dark pays rewards in flavor changes over the next year or more.

RBSG 07 Grand Tasting beer #2. Raspberry nose on this dark brown beer. Maybe some faint cocoa in the nose as well. Cocoa show up well amid the raspberry flavor.

Pours an opaque black with a very large creamy tan head. Nose is mostly raspberry. Very creamy on the palate. Taste is defintely of a dessert beer - raspberry, chocolate and malt. Mild and slighty sweet on the finish. A standalone beverage or try serving it with raspberries or other fruit.

In the bottle from Beertopia. Pours black with red hues and a thin ecru colored head. This has a huge raspberry aroma. Smells like a raspberry cheesecake in a glass. Chocolate flavor. Thin in body, but it works quite well for this beer. Raspberry up front followed by chocolate flavors. Even without the raspberry, this would be a good porter.

Cola color. I snagged the last tablespoon at the SOB January tasting. Aroma seems like milk chocolate, hazelnut and raspberry cream. Very tasty beer, I think it should be the over-21 Easter basket treat of choice. Tastes like chocolate and raspberry creme. Yum!!

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Black color. Strong raspberry aroma, sweet and dessert wine like. The flavors of chocolate and raspberry. Tastes very much like raspberry juice and too little porter.

Bottle. Pours a black body with a tan head. Abundant raspberry notes escape while pouring the bottle. Chocolate covered raspberries, it has a decadent aroma. Creamy raspberry start with some minerals chocolate and a metallic y note, not a roasted malt but metallic, dam i thought this was gonna blow my mind based on the aroma. Finishes quick but im just left with some copper tones in my mouth dam.

Cold 34.92oz Swing-Top Bottle: Pours an opaque dark chocolate color, with a small medium tan colored frothy head that quickly dissolves. Aroma is of raspberry and rich, dark malts, with some sour notes. Taste is of rich, dark malts and tangy hops, with a burst of raspberry. Ending is of cocoa and sour notes into raspberry tartness. Smooth and full bodied, with light carbonation.

Dark brown with good, creamy tan head / Sweet, candied berry and roast barley nose / Medium body, watery, with fair finish / Flavors of fresh raspberries and bittersweet chocolate / Weak body gives this one a soda pop character.

Bottle from Beer Geek. Pours opaque brown/black. Half-finger tan head that left quickly. Aroma of ancient raspberries. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is very raspberry, accompanied by chocolate. As time goes by, it actually tastes much like a raspberry chocolate truffle - though bitter, not sweet. Finishes in a good way that I can’t begin to describe. Sort of vinous, a bit sour. Ok. I can begin. Wow, if this is 4 years old. Or if it isn’t! Buy one before they go away.
