Mar 11, 2010 Bottle pours virtually black with a medium tan head. Aroma is of vanilla, dried cherries, a little coffee, nuts, some alcohol. Flavor is more of the dried cherries and other fruit, sweet malt, nuts -- and lots of alcohol! Overly boozy: I can feel this one go down. A light, creamy mouthfeel.

Beer black red glare, thin foam and carbonation. The nose is torrefied malt, coffee, some fruits (blackcurrant-cherry). That we find in the taste with mocha, toffee, dark chocolate. Syrupy and keys of dust with grapes in the corner. Rather creamy texture, touches of tar, bitter end, underlined by a gentle sweetness

Mar 8, 2010 Draft at Delirium Café’s Hoppy Loft in Brussels. Sweet, chocolate hazelnut nose with edges of burnt toast. Very very dark brown and essentially black in color with a light beige head. Tastes quite sweet with a brief blossom of bitterness before finishing with a toffee-and-chocolate-tinged sweetness. Maybe a touch thin and boozy. Warming. Not too complicated but it does feed a certain jones.

Mar 7, 2010 Pours out a dark brown color with a thing tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, slight chocolate, coffee and a hint of some hops. Mouthfeel is a bit thin for an imperial stout. Notes are of light milk chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, light citrus hops. Solid brew, but didn’t come all together.

Mar 6, 2010 Bottle 330ml. Full marks! Aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, and alcohol. Taste starts sweet, with bitterness taking over slowly for a long finish. Palate is syrupy, and full bodied. Dark brown, almost black, with a frothy off-white head.

Presents a non-transparent black colour with no head (in my chalice).
Sweet, fruity, light roasty nose, the taste is sweet, the start’s moderate sharp.
Vanilla, intensive dried fruity flavour, the aroma is light and of roasted malt, yeast and citrus hops.
The finish is mainly alcoholy with some notes of coffee-bitter and dryness in the back.
The body’s full, texture’s sticky and oily.
Nice fruity flavour, but because of that forward placed alcohol, overall not really made for my taste...

Feb 21, 2010 Pours deep black with off white head, aroma is a bit thin but full of malt and roasted character. Taste up front is sweet dark taste with some biscuity English malt character, finishing bitter with lots of finishing hops. Fairly good, but a bit one dimensional for an RIS.
