COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our stout lives up to the highest expectations of dark beer lovers... it is brewed rich and full-bodied with a high alcohol content. The roasted malts contribute notes of coffee and dark chocolate, while rolled oats lend a full and rounded character to the palate. So kick back in your easy chair with your trusty dog at your feet and a pint of Sleeping Dog Stout in hand - you can almost feel the heat from a roaring fire as you savor this warming brew.

FlacoAlto (4147) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - SEP 11, 2015
Sampled August 2014
Arrives from the tap with a frothy light brown colored head that has lots of staying power and leaves some moved lacing. The best is a concentrated brown not quite black colored beer. The aroma smells of roasted dark coffee, a rich chocolate base, and just a nicely toasted wholegrain bread note. A touch of across burnt grain adds some bite to the nose.

This has a softly creamy body to it that lightly clings to the palate. Rich roasted malt flavors contribute notes of rich coffee, lingering dark cocoa, roasted nut flavors, and sweet, dark malt notes; the latter helps to balance the roast character. There is a bitterness to the finish that seems mostly from the burnt malt, but also from the hops.

This is a nice, rich, yet easy drinking Stout. It is really quite nice.
