17Beer (1867) - Weston, Connecticut, USA - AUG 28, 2016
Nice smells of malt and pumpernickel. Pours a dark brown witha thick buff-colored head, dense with tiny bubbles. Sharp tastes of lacquer and a short finish. Medium carbonation.
courtesy of Stephane and Salome - hazy and very dark brown beer with a modest head retention; fairly toasted with notes of biscuity maltiness and hazelnuts; light hoppy fruitiness below; a good malt backbone, light sweet, a bit grainy, subtle carbonation; dry and bitter; long toasted malty, earthy and biscuity finish with light metallic notes - solid and to the point
