Slight sour aroma, dark cherries. Light red color with minimal head. Taste is sour with dark cherries. Finishes dry with a huge oak flavor. Delicious beer. Thanks Muthacack.

375 ml bottle at home. Dark copper color with nice off-white head. Aroma is mostly funky and "sour" at the beginning, cherry, bretty, a little bit vinous. When it gets warmer there are malty and wood senses. Taste is like aroma but more intense. Sour and funky at the beginning with tart cherries, later there are sweet malty notes. Great very long dry sour salty woody aftertaste. Medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation.

On tap at the RR brewpub in Santa Rosa: July 2014. A: deep orange-amber; clear; Large creamy bone-colored head is fairly furable and leaves some lacing. Aroma: about as good as this style gets (for me). Flavor: excellent very tart and fruity flaovr. Rather subtle effects from the pinot noir barrel aging, especially in terms of woodiness. Excellent lingering, midly tart aftertaste. FeeL; smooth; medium-light body; good low carbonation; near puckering tartness. O: excellent.

Old rating…but remembering that this was perhaps the best balanced sour I ever had. Cherry, wine barrel, brett, earth, funk, lemon. Wonderful mouthfeel as well.

Bottle from Lectvay, thanks again! Copper pour with a small white head. Slightly acidic aromas of cherries and some wine notes. Oak and funk are also there. Flavor is an awesome combination of them all. The wine and cherry qualities compliment the oak and tannins so well. Perfect level of sourness. Just a very impressive beer. It’s reputation is well-deserved.

Shared 12.68 oz./375 ml. bottle, poured to snifters displaying a hazed, amber/copper hue, with soft white head foam, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was tart cherry, not necessarily wild, but under control, yeasty funk, woodiness, light tannic astringency, and mild vinous hints. The taste continued with a nicely balanced play on sweet & tart, and a pleasantly dry & fruity finish. Very nice! Thanks for donating to the cause, Bob S..

Bottle. Hazy apple juice like appearance with a thin off white head. Aroma is vinous with tart cherry and musty funk. Taste follows pretty close. Excellent balance. Medium thick mouthfeel. Absolutely outstanding.
