Commercial Description:
I.P.A.’s were traditionally highly hopped and high in alcohol to survive the long trip from England to India. Our Third Eye P.A. is no exception with bountiful amounts of cascade hops and an alcohol content between 6.5 and 7%. This ale just may open the path to enlightenment!

taster from 12oz bottle at grape and gourmet. pours a light, golden color with a thin white head. aroma is nicely hoppy with notes of citrus, sugar, and caramel malt. flavor is mostly citrus hops with lemon zest and tart orange and a decent balance of sweet caramel malt. palate is smooth with good carbonation and quite drinkable.

Dark orange with an eggshell head. Fairly strong aroma of hops., which follows through on a bitter and hoppy taste. The finish is bitter but a bit harsh, and the palate is a bit on the watery side. A decent pale ale.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of hops, pine, and grapefruit. Poured amber/orange in color with a medium-sized, creamy, off-white head that greatly diminished. Clear. Not sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of hops, malt, and vegetables. Not bitter at all. Medium body. Averae texture. Averaege carbonation. Malt and slight hop finish is lightly dry.

(bottle from B&B Liquor in Colorado Springs). Clear copper color. Medium off white, frothy head, which is mostly diminishing. Pine hop aroma with light sweetness. Light sweet flavor with moderate bitterness. Avg duration. Very light bitter finish. Slick texture. Soft carbonation. Good lacing.

Picked this up on the road in Texas, stuffed it in a suitcase, and not dissapointed. This has a nice malty citrusy flavor to it, but finishes smooth. The finish was a tad dissapointing in that I was hoping for the citrusy hops to carry the beer but that malty overtone seemed to dominate and didn’t pack that much flavor. Good beer.

12oz bottle. This beer really packs a punch. Thin orange-tan color, highly translucent. Clean pine aroma. Big bitter pine taste backed by a strong a malty ABV and body. Very clean on the palate, not as sticky as many of it’s peers. Big time IPA, but the strength shines through a little too much...there are plenty of 9% beers that are less alcohol centric than this one. Complaints aside, I really like this beer, and would be stoked to try it on tap.

Rich copper color and clear with a two-finger tall white head and good lacing. The aroma was sharp pine hops and some soap. The flavor was mostly bitter pine hops and only a touch of sweetness. The mouthfeel was almost oily and medium in body. Pretty average.

Tasted at Beer Dabbler event in St. Paul. This one had an engaging flavor, fairly sweet, multiple fruits. But then ended with a nice, bitter hop flavor. Like it quite a lot compared with a lot of things I tried that day.
