Hints of chocolate, coffee, and dark roasted malts... A very wintery brew. Dark as the winter nights in Finland, but wonderfully so! A bit of malty sweetness to balance the hoppy bitterness which is quite weak, but I love it that way! It is rather strong, alcohol-wise, but it suits the style rather well, also considering that it’s a seasonal Winter beer, it warms you up good! I loved it!!! mjs (1714), Helsinki, Finland

Slightly turbid black. Sweet, slightly spicy aroma. Pleasant carbonation. First taste is like chocolate cake, with a spicy ginger hint. Full-bodied and very malty, some sweet caramel too. Gets much better as it warms, it was a bit lacking in something when too cold. A stonking porter - full of flavour, but exceedingly drinkable. Rune (2937), Tromsø, Norway

Draught. Opaque black. Rich, creamy brown head.
Mild hops, roasted sweetish malt in aroma.
Smooth, very creamy flavor of sweet, roasted malt, and some mild hops. A hint of yeast. The typical Koulu character is certainly discernible, although not as obviously as in most of their other brews.
Roasted malts and a bit of hop bitter in the aftertaste.
Milky smooth, full bodied. Yum. mabjork (589), Vasa, Finland

It’s a fruity and hopsy experince when it comes to the flavour. It as a sweet after taste. It’s a very compelling beer! Jukkabro (3093), Tampere, Finland
