The aroma is acidic with raspberry notes. Also a little meaty and a litttle unfresh. The taste is fruity with no real acidity. Again meaty. Not a sweet lambic but also lacks sourness. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 29, 2005 I liked this one substantially more than the Boon Kriek. The pour was dark rubyish with a splotchy white head. The aroma was wild yeast and raspberries/cherries, with some sour fruit and female taint overtones. The flavor was a tart berry medley along with some horse barn finshing palate notes. This one was a very good lambic. HenrikSoegaard (4620), Randers, Denmark

Powerfull raspberry aroma and syruply palate. Average flavor. Moderate sweet and nice average finish. bhensonb (4618), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 18, 2008 335 ml bottle. BBE 04.06.2011. Sour raspberry aroma. Ruby mahogany color with some coarse pinkish head. Near medium body with sweet and sour raspberry flavors. Tart and sweet. Almost like a dairy product in flavor. Finishes dry and fruity, with a little sour that goes on. Interesting stuff. Ernest (4536), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 16, 2002 Updated: Mar 30, 2005Head is initially average sized, fizzy, pink, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy medium amber-purple, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty
(barnyard, cobwebs), with notes of raspberry, wood, and cherry.
Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is
moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body,
syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Quite nice for a framboise...sweet, yes, but the raspberry tartness AND bitterness is here to keep it very drinkable. Would of course like more yeast character, but not many framboise lambics are terribly serious. muzzlehatch (4426), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2002 Lovely ruby-red complexion on this, with thick but fully diminishing head; nose is fresh raspberries and caramel, mmm. Flavor really nicely balanced, with some of that barnyard gueuze stuff coming through along with the sweet-tart fruit taste. Really delicious, and not overpoweringly sweet like Lindemans (though I love Lindemans too). Very dry smooth finish. Not as heavily carbonated as I would have guessed. Very nice, the best Boon I’ve had. motelpogo (4400), Plzen, Czech Republic
