As soon as you smell the deliciousness of this brew you know you are going to enjoy it thoroughly, I did. The appearance reaffirms this. The taste needs no description and the lacing is unbelievable. My palate is still dancing. A perfect brew. PrivatePyle (13), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Could be a dollar or two cheaper, whatever, it’s solid and can be found everywhere. IMO it’s at its best around 40 degrees. SuIIy (1602), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA

Bought it because it was St. Pat’s and I wanted something relatively inexpensive and it was on sale. On the way home I started regretting it a little, thinking of all the other great craft brews Gomer’s has for the same ballpark price. When I poured it in the pint glass I was starting to get happier- plenty dark but with hints of color and a creamy two finger head. Aroma was roasty but a bit faint- I don’t drink many dry stouts so this is probably typical. Kinda hard to follow the KBS I had this afternoon. First drink and I was glad I made this choice. Very full flavor for a dry stout with molasses and caramel added to the roastiness and even hints of dark fruits. Very well-balanced with a great dry and bitter finish that was obviously a result of the hops but didn’t taste hoppy, if that makes sense. What really stood out the most was the ultra-creamy and long-lasting head. It stayed for the entire pint, adding new elements to its shape each time the glass was tipped. You could make some impressive head art if you were so inclined, the shapes just held perfect, like a meringue or something. All in all a great beer for just barely over $1. Guiness is good. adavis234 (169), Columbia, South Carolina, USA

Pour is dark brown/black. Flavor is malty and smoky. Some might consider this blasphemy but I’ve always felt that extra stout is as good or better than draught in its own way. rader58 (259), Leawood, Kansas, USA

Flavor is also burnt and caramel with dark dark chocolates and long bitter finish. A weird fruit thing goes on also at the end but covered by the roast.
