Commercial Description:
This West Coast-Style India Pale Ale is extravagantly hopped, full flavored, medium bodied and copper colored. A menagerie of hops is combined throughout the brewing process to impart specific characteristics. Hops used include Simcoe for a unique fruitiness and grapefruit zest, Columbus for strong hop pungency, Centennial for pine and citrus notes, and Cascade for floral aroma.

Poured hazy copper with a nice white head, with a nice grapefruit/citrus hop nose. Tasted of strong hops in the beginning that finishes with a nice bitterness. Nothing over the top, but a solid IPA.

This IPA went big, which I like, but I wasn’t really happy with the final results. Perhaps it was the hop blend? I don’t know, just seemed bitter with no goodness around it, lack of body, just more bitter. Stone Ruination is a better example of this style.

Bottle from Bushwakker. Pours a copper color with a decent sized head left over. Lots of hops. Plenty of grapefruit, pine and citrus aromas and flavors. Carbonation is properly balanced. This is the best IPA I have come across yet. Each hop flavor is very distinct. Overall near perfect.

Opaque copper with a small white head that dissipates slowly. The aroma is biscuity caramel with lots of evergreen pine-citrus, tropical fruit and nectar. The flavor is sappy pine resin- sticky and thoroughly hop forward. Citrus and some grassy floral notes come through, as does some caramel sweetness and toffee. The palate is medium bodied with lively effervescence and a finish that is sticky with mouth coating resin. Quite the quaff.

Hazy copper pour, minimal white head. Aroma holds pine resin, caramel, sticky sweet citrus in the form of mostly orange, and biscuit- quite nice. Flavor holds lots of sappy evergreen, with a touch of citrus and earth. Not complex, but still quite flavorful. Palate is lighter than expected, especially considering the sweetness that was on the nose. Still a very good iPA.

Bottle. Amber colored pour. Aroma is slightly sweet and floral with a hint of berries and toffee. Flavor is very floral with grapefruit, pine, and a heavy bitterness. A very tasty, refreshing and enjoyable IPA that is full of flavor to balance the strong bitterness.

Pours orange-copper with slight head. There is some grapefruit and other hop notes, but overall the aroma is a bit muted. The flavor, on the other hand, is not at all subtle. Massive citrus and pine, with a bitter finish. Very crisp palate. Malt really takes a backseat. The first few delicious sips are all about fruit and pine, but as the glass disappears, the bitterness lingers more and more and overwhelms some of the flavor. Still, this is a great IPA.

Bottle at the Grey Lodge Pub. An exciting IPA. Amber pur with light head. Nice sweaty yeast. Lively bubble, with bitter but chalky bite. A classsic IPA!

clear gold, medium off-white head, lacy. nose of citric and pine hops, but fairly mild. the flavor of citric and pine hops is much more bold in the flavor than in the nose. medium bodied, nicely bitter finish. very good, quite hoppy, some fun. draft at Tribes Alehouse in Mokena.
