Aroma has some diacetyl and apple juice along with caramel maltiness. Flavor is English toffee malt with a touch of darker fruits and a nice appreciable earthy hop finish. Not a lot of bitterness, but nice and dry. Mouthfeel has a nice heft to it, with appropriate carbonation and little wateriness. Not bad at all. bradlyc77 (226), Sebastopol, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 27, 2008 12oz bottle: Crystal clear amber pour with a healthy, foam inducing white head. A soft balance of creamy caramel and fruity hops meet the nose. Nothing over the top, nicely balanced, clean and approachable. The fruity hops are more defined on the palate, offering an array of sweet apple, candied orange and floral perfume. A moderate dose of buttery malts balance. Things are a bit muddled, but fit the style. An easy drinker that is well built, but nothing too special.
