Aroma of malty sweetness and that about it. Taste on this medium to full bodied brew comes across with faint malt that grows stronger throughout the mouthful and ends with a nutty taste. Definitely hides the alcohol very well. I think a great tasting beer. Another great brew from Bristol.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Bottle: Copperish amber pour with an off white thin head. Sweet nutty aroma with a vague grainy character. Light body and mild flavor with a touch of fruity esters. Grainy nutty notes with a very mild hop presence (hardly detectable). Lacking the malt depth/nuance that makes a good Brown Ale. A bit too simple. j12601 (1706), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
