Honestly... the best part of this beer is the large bottle whose quantity can help counteract spicy Indian fare. If you’re not eating naan bread... you can skip this. Very clean pale gold with a thin white head. Rather fruity and lots of vanilla, maybe even a hint of diacetyl. Not great, clearly but it’s a considerable improvement over the over carbonated, metallic cardboard rubbish I was expecting. Odd minty note and yeah ok, maybe there is a bit of damp cardboard but it’s actually not that bad. Ok, it’s shite, but I’ve certainly had far worse beers. Derek881 (515), Frederick, Maryland, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 9, 2010 I had a bottle of this beer at an Indian restaurant, poured out into a pint glass. The beer had a lighter gold color with a thin white head that had little cling and retention. An uneventful aroma of grainy and corny hops with a touch of malt and grass. The taste was mostly bitter and grainy with a little bit of a sour effect. It was a lighter, watery beer with low carbonation and a light mouthfeel. Ever time I took a mouthful, I felt like I was getting the sensation of wet, rotting cloth or bad cheese. It was just skunktastic and one of those things that after you put it in your mouth you wished you’d had. Enough "indian hot" lamb saag washed away my ability to sense how sick and disgusting this beer was.

Pairs well with spicy indian food, but nothing special. 50yroldbeerguy (5), British Columbia, Canada does not count | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 1, 2010 Pours a translucent light yellow with a cotton candy head. Thick lacing. Half-decent piney scent, maybe a little raisin and grapefruit. Very light sour malt backbone, and I also get some old newsprint and pepper. Gritty mouthfeel and thin finish. dimenhetfield (311), , Florida, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 31, 2009 Your basic lager appearance, light and golden. Has a slight aroma of hops but nothing really big. Smooth, malty corn flavors that finish well. Slight metallic notes that are not overwhelming. In general a good drinkable lager.
