labeerinthum (7895) - Milano, ITALY - NOV 5, 2023
UPDATED: NOV 5, 2023 Bottiglia.

Gangstergafje (3191) - Rotterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 9, 2023
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2023 09-05-2023; bottle; at home (bought somewhere in Switzerland). The looks of the beer are nice. It is a lovely dark brew. The beer is too dark to see trough. On top there is a nice dark almond colored layer of foam. Pretty nice. The aroma of the beer is lovely. It has some nice malt notes. Some coffee and chocolate, with notes of hazelnut. There is some nice added chocolate. Hops geve some earthy notes and some more leaf notes. Pretty nice. The aroma could have been a bit stronger though. It is a tiny bit bland...in a way that it could be just a bit stronger. The taste of the beer is also pretty nice. Sweet malts and some nice roasts bitter notes and some savory toast. Hops give a nice bitterness too, whilst the chocolate gives a bittersweet note. Pretty well balanced. Again, it could have been a bit stronger. The mouthfeel of the beer is fine. Medium body, a bit slick texture and medium carbonation. The beer could have been a bit more full. However, it is nice. The finish has some nice chocolate and hazelnut, with some nice roast. All in all, a pretty decent beer.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2022 deep dark brown colour, large, dense brown head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of dark chocolate, dried sour cherry, roasted nuts, some tobacco and slight vanilla notes; taste of dark chocolate, dried sur cherry again, some syrupy-burnt sugary sweetness, heavy roasted nuts, dark berries (like blackcurrant) and rye bread crust; very good beer!
