Gold. Dull, slightly tart aroma of cereals, whole wheat, banana peel, sugars, peach and apricot. Strong, slightly sour and nutty yeast taste. Quite bizarre. Notes of clove, coriander yet I doubt it is spiced. So this is what is drunk during fasting times? I could get used to that.

Cloudy yellow with a thick white head. Aroma- sweet malt, hops, caramel. Taste- like a mild tripel, or a cross between a tripel, wit and saison; caramel, earth, sweet yeasty goodness.

(bottle - 330 ml) Cloudy gold color with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is very sweet and full of yeast and candy sugar. Some light fruits as well. Flavor begins with a bubbly and lightly spiced taste that moves to a dry and bitter yeast and hay middle. Finishes clean with light fruit and yeast notes and the lightest touch of spice. Flavor is very mild and short-lived. Finish almost tastes like club soda mixed with yeast and spice.

Pours a hazy blonde with an overwhelming white head. Hoppy coriander and citrus aroma. Flavor is dry and bitter and slightly watery. Very lively carbonation. Slightly short, dry bitter finish. Quite refreshing, easy to drink beer.

Bottle tagged as ’Stimulo’. Pours hazy yellow, eggwhite head. Nothing special here. Wet horse nose, apples. Very grany smith-a-like aroma. Sour apples and wet horses. Also has the slaghmuylder yeast stamp on it. Sweet sour flavors, a bit too flat of a mouthfeel. Interesting ale.

33 cl bottle purchased at Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington. Pour is hazed golden with a bright white one inch head. A few carbonation bubbles float to the surface, head falls slowly with decent lacing. Aroma of herbal spice yeastiness up front, soft and gentle, followed close behind by a pleasant straw grassiness. Hint of cloves behind that. Taste has the clove spice clove herbal yeast in front, followed by the straw grassiness that has a nice hop bitterness to it. Behind this is a honey semi-sweet bready maltiness that provides a really nice background. The finish reveals some orange fruit citrus. Palate is medium, with nice active carbonation and a drying finish. Really a lot of nice subtle flavors going on in this beer; classy.

Bottle from Ohtsuki. Aroma big with green apples, plus honey, spices, and a touch of citrus. Colored like a pale pilsner, with fountain-like bubble action and a huge, rocky, growing(!!!) head. Wacky! Light, dry flavor, with again, green apple, light honey, pepper. Not very sweet at all. Sour and slightly bitter. Interesting and unique. Very clean, crisp, very light in body and also rather light in flavor, but with great hops. Extremely high attenuation. Leaves me wanting more body and sweetness, but not disappointed that they aren’t there.
