Cask gravity at Kent BF 07. Black/dark brown with virtually no head. Yeasty aroma. Decent mild, decent choc, very nice mild.

Jan 17, 2009 The Merchant, Rugby. Attractive dirty yellow on ruby. Liquorice, hint of fig, oily English hop, definite sticky dried fruit aroma. Milky still of course. Mouth toffee and treacle, faint coffee, bitter liquorice finish, hint of dankness, chocolate. Complex at 3%. You can’t complain.

Pours a deep red-brown with a medium bubbly beige head. It soon settles as a lower, but much denser creamy head. Aroma is lightly roasted and some weak chocolate. Quite thin and watery. Weak flavour with roasted malts, light acidic, a touch of flowery hops and subdued chocolate. A bit too litlle of everything.

Apr 14, 2008 From cask at Charlies. Pours dark brown to black with a lasting tan head. Aroma is mild roasted malt. Dry malty flavour with a light acidic note. Light roasted note from the malt and a rather mild one. Roasted malt finish. Amazingly flavourful for 3%. Welldone.
