Mar 19, 2010 Cask, The Horniman at Hay’s on the Thames. Pitch black, low head turning quickly to lacing. Malty aroma; a bit sweet, with chocolate and caramel. Flavor is just a touch sweet, with great roasted malt, chocolate. It is dry, roasted, and hoppy. Very good. Rich and relatively thick. Hoppy, dry aftertaste with roasted malt and dark chocolate.

Dec 25, 2009 Cask @ GBBF 2009. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with some hints of coffee. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel finish.

Nov 29, 2009 2nd September 2008. A light amount of carbonation. Bitterish treacle and finshes smokey. Not bad.

Sep 6, 2009 Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest ’09. Black with ruby hue, tan head. Sweetish liquorice straight from the start with blckberry fruit and a hint of chocolate, good roasty notes, it proved very popular at the Festival. Good stuff.

Dark ruby color, not much head. Roasted aroma, some licorice and coffee. Good body for 4.7% beer. Licorice and caramel in flavor, also some papery hops. Toasty lingering aftertaste. Quite balanced light porter.
