Wheaty apricot aroma, slightly grapefruity. Crispy wheat flavor, some rye, ginger, and oranges. A tad over-carbonated, but a solid offering.

Lightly citrusy with a little bit of wheaty spiciness and a kiss of cotton candy sweetness. Straw and hay show from the pilsner malt. Grassy and herbal. It’s light, but sessionable. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 9, 2009 I guess Baron Von Mediocre just would not have had the same ring to it. That is pretty much all I have to say about this unfiltered American Wheat. Just came across as tourist fodder, light and citrusy with some hop bitterness lingering in the finish. These go down really easily, but wouldn’t make me want to order another one. I think I got more enjoyment out of squeezing a lemon into my water. hombrepalo (823), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Lots of wheat, yeast & citrus in nose & taste. Medium bodied & drinkable! Some hops in the end.. didnt blow me away! OK for a summer beer. BeerBunker (640), Burbank, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 23, 2009 On tap at Piece. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is of citrus, spice, malt, wheat, and hops. Has a nice hop character up front with a lot of citrus. There is a base of malt as well as a lot of grass. The wheat flavors come over very well in this one. It blends well with the hops and malt. There is a slight amount of spice on the linger. Mouthfeel is very juicy, and heavily carbonated. Went down real easy and was enjoyable for a wheat. MoDog (927), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2009 On tap at Piece, served in a nonik. Lightly hazed golden/orange pour with a thin, lasting white head. Light lacing. The aroma had light wheat, toast, and some ample citrus hopping. The flavor was much the same. Cleaner than most American wheats, but also with a nice dose of bright, grassy citrus. Light-bodied and refreshing. Light to moderate carbonation. Quite tasty for a wheat. beernbourbon (456), chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2009 Draft at brewpup. Pours a hazy amber with a dissipating white head. Fruity ester aroma. Flavor of light caramel with a blend of citrus, grass, and spicy bitterness. Not much wheatiness to it. Decent, but not mind blowing. WickerBrew (312), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2008 Finally got around to trying this, its been on for a while but I have avoided it. It was bigger then I was expecting and more yeasty, which is good. Sort of a poor mans Oberon. Yeasty and sweet, but no citrus. Not a big liquid banana bread like the Top Heavy either, which can be seen as either a positive or a negative.
