Tap at Chumley’s Lafayette. Pours mostly clear, slight haze golden with minimal off white head. Nose is belgian yeast and slight lambic (oddly). Flavor is belgian yeast, slight clove/cinnamon/nutmeg, moderate carbonation, well balanced and citrusy as well. Not bad.

Cloudy golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma of yeast and honey. Good flavor of yeast, honey and hops. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. Not a great example of the tripel style, but a definitely enjoyable one.

On tap at Chumley’s - Lafayette, IN. Pours a glear orange-tinted gold, with a thin, superfine white slick. Light phenolic apple head aroma. Flavor is sweet, but nuanced. Nice balancing yeast character. Finishes dry and clean. A bit tangy. Aside from high residual sugars, this is enjoyable. It’s not particularly deep and complex, but for an American interpretation of Abbey Tripel, it’s fairly decent.

On tap at Yogi’s. Poured a very cloudy yellow with an orange hue and a white head. Aroma was full of sweet fruit notes with undertones of citrus and yeast. Flavor had a similar profile as the flavor with more pronounced citrus notes.

Draft. Very small white head with a short retention span, hazy body with no visible carbonation, no lacing and a straw yellow hue. The aroma was sweet, fruity, bready malt, sugary, and some pepper notes. The flavor was sweet, fruity, the ABV definitely came through, spicy, malty, and yeasty. The mouthfeel was tingly and a medium bodied beer. Refreshing and worthy of a try.

bomber into large snifter. Large white head after the pour but then settes, golden yellow and clear. Aroma is lemons, yeast, grass. Taste is slightly sweet malt, very tart, lost of yeast, bitter in finish. A little too heavy on the yeast for my liking.

Bomber. Straightforward, plain vanilla tripel with an off-taste in the finish. Hazy, deep gold body. Big white head, mostly lasting. Sweet aroma with notes of pears, bread and spice. Hint of lemon. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The overly sweet flavor and spice seem disjointed, resulting in an aftertaste that is not satisfying, but also is not a deal-breaker. Medium body, watery to smooth texture and moderate carbonation.

This draft brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were and left behind a hazy softly carbonated orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a medium caramel aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of malt and fruity. An OK brew just nothing special.
