COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Have you met Mr. Feathers already? No? Oh let me tell you about him. He is such a nice guy. Mr. Feathers is stuffed with citra and mosaic hops and has a smooth malty backgroand. Some people call him ‘Da Man’. Old? Maybe a bit. But the one who said old men are mean and cynical, Mr. Feathers will change your mind. Ingredients: Water, barley malt (Maris Otter, Pale, Cara), hops (Citra, Chinook), yeast.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2020 Home. 33 cl bottle. An off-white good foam layer on a clear amber beer. Aroma is light malty (some bread) and some citrus-like hops. Taste is light sweet (okay), upcoming bitter, which became somewhat dry. Some citrus hops, light grapefruit, some lemon. Later also light sticky with not that much body. Miss some Red Ale feeling.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2019 16-06-2019; bottle; at home (bought somewhere in The Netherlands). The looks of the beer are nice. On top of the beer there is quite a firm frothy white head. Foam retention is high. The beer itself is an absolute crystal clear brew. The colour is a dark golden yellow, kinda approaching golden amber. It look nice, but a Red Ale? It might be the night light, but to me it ain't that red. The aroma of the beer is pretty good. The beer is quite malty. The malt aromas are biscuity and have some bready touches. A tiny caramel hint is there. It feels just a bit rough to be honest. Hops give some stone fruit notes. Also some resinous touches are present, and so is a touch of melon. The hops have a robust tone to it. This is actually quote nice, it gives the beer some power. The aromas aren't that strong or super special. They are however quite powerful. The taste of the beer has some sweet malts in it. Hops give bitterness and a small acidic fruity note. The flavours are balanced, yet the taste in total feels a tiny bit rough. The palate of the beer is fine. Medium body, slightly sticky texture and a medium carbonation. The finish has some stone fruit and melon hops in it. They are replaced by some of the resinous hops. They fade into a nice dry aftermath. I like it. All in all, it isn't bad. Quite a good beer, but I expected it to be closer to an IPA.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2019 Birra color arancio/ambra torbido e abbondante schiuma bianca mediamente persistente. Aromi intensi di frutta tropicale. Al palato si confermano gli stessi aromi appena meno intensi (fruit passion, mango, pompelmo). Buona e leggera.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2019 33 cl. bottle @ home, served in a teku glass, due date: 2019/08/14. Aroma: quite intense aromas of caramel malts, toasted malts, hints of citrus peel, pine, resin. Appearance: amber color with light beige foam made of tiny to small bubbles. Very high head thickness with very high retention and high Brussels' lacing. Low to medium haziness. Taste: medium sweetness, low to medium bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of toasted and caramel malts, caramel, brown sugar, pine needles, resin, tangerine, tangerine peel. Hints of grapefruit, brown sugar, burnt brown sugar. Well balanced, sweeter at first and increasingly bitter toward the finish. Palate: low to medium body, watery to oily texture, low carbonation, quite long dry finish with low bitterness and the same aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is very well hidden and almost no noticeable (very low alcohol sweetness in the aroma and flavor and almost no throat or mouth warming). Low astringency. Overall: good looking, good aromas and flavors of caramel malts, toasted malts, brown sugar, pine needles, resin, grapefruit. It probably would be better with more carbonation and a little bit more body. A little bit more hoppy than expected for a Red Ale.

Consigliata.

labeerinthum (7903) - Milano, ITALY - OCT 29, 2018
Bottiglia.
