500 ml can, LCBO. Golden pour short lived frothy head. Decent aroma, pretty good mouthfeel and not too bad a taste. Considering the selection at the LCBO this isn’t too bad, a middle of the road Eurolager.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.
Clear light to medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, straw, moderate hoppy, green grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, cabbage water. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20100227]

"The beer of world fame" announces the plain label. Pours out gold with a fast fading 2 finger head and lacing. Bland cereal aroma with a touch of hops and citrus. Tastes like what it is: a watery German macrobrew. There is a touch of sweetness and some Euro-pilsener hops, but overall the blandness is what stands out. A forgettable, and worse than average, Euro macro.

Stiff, bitter, doggy and German. I’d drink it if I had to, but I wouldn’t seek it out.

In the aroma i can feel some bad metal, but i’m pleased to recognize, that it aint no earth-bound as i firstly thought. It has a beautiful silky body, light hoppiness and very pleasant long mouthfeel. Nice golden color and medium white head. Solid, still serious palate, and fine dry feel in the nose. i’m impressed by this, i’ve waited less. Delicous.

Very much in premium lager territory. Nose is slightly wiffy hops and tinglinging sweetness. In the mouth is the trademark euro taste with a slight hoppy oomph. Decent.
