Textura semioleosa. Carbonatación media baja.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2020 Bottle at Fortnight in downtown Providence, RI. Chestnut-brown with visible flaky sediment and a whole-wheat-flour-colored head, fine, medium-good retention. Aroma is dark cocoa powder, dark bread crust, some brown sugar, bit of toasted rye bread and some sappy tree, touch of soy sauce. Delightful and complex. Body is medium-weight, syrupy, medium carbonation, medium-fine bubbles, medium-light burn, velvety and a little silky. Flavor is bread crust and some malt caramel, bit of sappy herbs, touch of dark nutty tree bark and wood, chewy. Not actually getting so much coffee, but yes, coco-powder (more earthy and less floral and fruity.) Wow - this is expertly brewed. Just great. And the hops still come through nicely after 2-3 years.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2020 Bottle. A- Dusty, roasty, cocoa, mild dates. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Roasty, cocoa, light coffee, mild dates. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dry finish. O- I love the ingredient list! Figs, dates, coffee...some of my absolute favorites! Perhaps not quite as complex and flavorful as I wanted but still nice. The roasty cocoa kind of controls the show. I get a bit of coffee, some dates but no figs. So much potential that wasn't quite reached.

7/4/18. Go America! Bottle purchased somewhere in Rome, GA. Deep brown pour with a creamy khaki head that sticks around. Aroma shows deep caramel, burnt toffee, touches of nuts, dark fruits, sugar. Good flavor, dark fruits, caramel, toffee, a touch of a bitter/burnt aspect. Not bad.

330ml bottle. Dark brown with a big tan head, great retention, sediment floating around. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, dried fruits. Taste of sweet dried fruits, caramel, dark chocolate more subtle than it was in the aroma, coffee bitterness helps balance it, finishes with nice warming alcohol. This is rich and complex. Medium-full bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. Extremely good.
