This is not as sweet and sticky as most other frambozenbier and kriek. I love raspberry and I like this even though it is a girlish beer. bhensonb (4617), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 3, 2008 Bottle from John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR. Corked and caged. The metal on the cork has 01 2017! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! Reddish tinged dark amber color with a frothy beige head. The aroma is very fresh raspberry. Medium body with mild, but firm, carbonation. The flavor is raspberry and raspberry seed (crushed in the teeth). The finish is quite mild and raspberry. This is a sour ale? Ok, but I find it quite mild. It’s like fresh raspberries in the mouth. Colour is slightly cloudy reddish, deep dark and a bit red. Head is very thin but sustained and white. Aroma has some spice and is dominated by sweet raspberry. Somewhat artificially sweet though. Flavour is very sweet and intense from a raspberry perspective. no questions here this is a flemish sour and here to stay. Dickinsonbeer (4082), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

One of the best out of all the aged liefman lambics. This one was a ’92 I believe, and it held up surprisingly well. Pours a nice deep fruity red with a off red-pinkish head that actually lasted for a bit but then faded eventually. Aroma is of some stale and sour raspberries, but still has a slight bit of sweet fresh fruit in there. Lots of lactic and tartness throughout. Some farmhouse and funky aromas and flavors are noticed as well. Lightly oxidized but not nearly as much as some others like the goudenband from the same year. Finishes with a dry cork, lactic, and sour end. Nice. Nuffield (2766), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2004 This is nice but average, which is to say that this is an easily enjoyable style. It pours a murky red-brown, with only the last bit of sediment doing much to produce a little bit of white head (very little). Big raspberry aroma, but not so much fresh raspberries as much as raspberry fruit roll-ups (dried fruit kid’s food). Nice flavor, moderately sweet and mildly sour, obviously raspberry all over the place. Decent palate, marked by the dense carbonation and fairly mild hit on the tongue. Nice, though not as sour as I would have liked. I could drink this by the gallon. Kathy (241), Washington DC, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 1, 2002 The aroma hits you before you even open the bottle -- rich, pure raspberry. The color is light amber with a reddish tint. The flavor is a tart raspberry. Nice. It doesn’t have many qualities that I usually associate with beer. You don’t taste the hops, the malt, the yeast. Just fresh raspberries. iwantalambic (1401), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Thick seedless raspberry flesh with a background musty tartness. Finish is wonderfully sweet and leaves a fruity stickiness throughout the mouth. Aroma contains the leftover raspberry seeds, and a damp earthy bitterness. In the mood for some tart fruit, then enjoy. . .
