Martinsh (2837) - Crewe, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2024UPDATED: JAN 20, 2024 On tap at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden orange with a medium sized white head and good lacing. The aroma is restrained, but quite sweet with yeast, orange peel and hints of banana. In the mouth there’s an immediate yeasty sharpness overlaying a creamy texture. Quite hoppy but with underlying biscuits and malts plus hints of cloves, lemon and apples. Finish is dry and slightly spicy. This is excellent – a beer that grabs your attention from the first sip.

GoddamnNoise (961) - Pontevedra, SPAIN - JUL 16, 2023UPDATED: JUL 16, 2023 33 cl. bottle @ home, served in an IPA blass, best before: 2025/01/15.
Aroma: low to medium intensity aromas with hints of caramel, spices, clove, malts, toasted malts, caramel malts.
Appearance: gold to light gold color with very fluffy white foam made of small bubbles, some of them grow up to become medium and big sized ones, high head thickness, high retention, very low haziness, almost crystal clear, medium Brussels' lacing.
Taste: low to medium sweetness, low bitterness, no sourness. Flavors of cloves, spices, caramel, caramel malts, malts, toasted malts. Balance is toward the sweetness, but not cloying or unpleasant.
Mouthfeel: medium body, slightly oily texture, low carbonation, long dry finish with low bitterness and sweetness and the aforementioned flavors, specially the clolve flavor. Alcohol is quite high but very well hidden, not noticable in the aroma or flavor and only noticeable because of a medium mouth and throat warming. Astringency is not noticeable. Hop burn is not noticeable.
Mouthfeel: good appearance, aromas and flavors of spices, cloves, caramel, hints of malts, caramel malts, toasted malts. Tasty, it would be even better with less ABV and more layers of flavors.
Kleg (2979) - The Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 7, 2023UPDATED: JUL 7, 2023 330 ml bottle from the brewery in Brugge, Belgium. Pours a mostly clear gold color with a very large white head and annoyingly great retention. Decent lacing. Belgian yeast aroma. Smells just like the other De Halve Maan beer. Tastes like it too. Soft Belgian yeast flavor with some subtle fruity esters in the finish. Again, this is not my favorite style, but this is tolerable and well made. Medium body and soft carbonation. Low bitterness.
