| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 5, 2008 330ml bottle served chilled. Dense creamy white head atop a hazy copper body. Typically citrusy nose, a touch of pine and unripe rockmelon that seems a bit more uncommon with an underlying, carboardy yeasty element that often seems to crop up in Aussie-made APAs. Moderate carbonation, medium body, slight drying grittiness possibly due to the cloudiness. Big hop presence on the body; unripe rockmelon, grapefruit zest, pinecones, with some underlying toffee. Lingering bitter finish, slightly gritty on the tongue. Not a bad APA, bit similiar to other Aussie clones though.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 22, 2009 Tap. This is a great APA. Aromas of grass, and grain. Flavour is long-lasting, and predominantly bitter. Velvety in the palate, and medium-bodied. Amber colour, with a creamy long-lasting head. mickmac (133), Ngunnawal, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours with a small average white head over a cloudy red gold body. Aroma of grapefruit and passionfruit. Subdued/modest piney-citrus taste. A full bodied-oily mouthfeel. donfardz64 (459), Wellington, New Zealand
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Pours hazy golden, white head. Nice fresh hop aroma - citrusy lemon.
The flavour follows suit with a clean body and zesty hops. A very to-style APA: tasty and refreshing. hawthorne00 (287), Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Bottle. Pretty cloudy pour with visible sediment. Orange, large off-white head that fades. Grassy hops and cantaloupe nose with some dusty sweetshop aromas. Big late-hopping attack, followed by fruits. Not quite enough malt for balance and slightly bubbly mouthfeel. Could use a little more bitterness at the end, too. But nice stuff - it seems like an expression of the style rather than something that’s been tinkered about with to get a result. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 18, 2009 Bottle. Hazy golden orange body with a bubbly white head that quickly disappears. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of pineapple, melon, peach, passionfruit and caramel. Flavour is a little sweet and has lots of resiny hops as well as notes of citrus, caramel and stonefruit. Highly carbonated, medium to light body and a nice bitter finish; this is a nice beer, a bit rough around the edges, but overall quite pleasant and refreshing. Nicko (191), Ashfield, Australia
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Really overcarbonated bottle, it’s been in the fridge undisturbed for a week and frothed out everywhere on opening. Now my kitchen table smells like pineapple. Big amarillo aroma, something not quite right in flavour. A little inky newspaper in the finish. Another aussie APA that you’d only want one or two of; unbalanced and overly sweet. Davros (310), Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Hazy gold pour with a long-lasting head.
Aroma is very malty with toffee, honey and resinous and peachy hops. Very appetising!
The flavours are less impressive, there’s some nice toffee notes but the hop character is unpleasant and slightly metallic.
A little thin, especially seeing how malty this is. BarossaLuke (153), Australia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Stubbie. Over carbed? This bottle forthed over for ages upon opening. Had been sitting in an esky for quite a while so i dont think it was shaken up. Anyway... Hop aroma is fruit and melon but not that potent compared to the US pale ales enjoyed the same night. Medium bodied mouthfeel and good hop bitterness. For some reason to me it always seems as though Australian versions of the US style are underwhelming. They never have the richness on the palate or the hop explosion. Are Aussie brewers to scared to brew this for Aussie drinkers? Dunno...
