Unclear medium brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, nutty, caramel, chocolate, notes of smoke. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bunrt + chocolate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft Fresh and very easy to drink. [20090917]

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, straw, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw as well as hints of diacethyl, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Bottle. Small bubbly white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Clear golden color. Aroma dusty grain, light toasted sweet malt, hint of bread like notes as well. Over the palate came light grassy and butterscotch like notes with a hint of spice in there as well. Quite nice. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Light to medium sweet flavor with light acidic and bitterness. Light toasted and sweet malty finish.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy copper-amber color; medium head. Nice toffee aroma and flavor, good body, smooth mouthfeel, light sweetness, correct bitterness; well balanced. Very good.
