Pours a deep black with a small head. The aroma is tinny and mildly roasty with some sweet malt notes. The flavor is molasses and nuts with some toasty and vanilla notes along with some metallic stuff. Palate is a little thin. Even for the crappiest Baltic Porter I’ve had this is still pretty all-right.

Bottle. Typical porter pour with a small head that fizzly. Aroma is weak, cola like with notes of coffee. taste is nice and creamy though, slightly foreign stout like. Pleasing with a chocolate taste.

Bottled. Poured medium-deep brown with a short-lived, looser-bubbled tan head. The aroma was sweet, along the lines of holyshitifyoudrinkthisyou’lllikelydevelopdiabetes. vanilla and vanilla were the main contributors (yeah, that’s right), with definite caramel backing.. more vanilla as it started to breathe, along with a little cocoa.. no real hop presence to note. The flavor was just where I expected it.. sweet at sin throughout with vanilla really dominating.. toasted molasses and a touch of cocoa played a decent role.. vanilla stuck on the finish as well. Sweet as can be on the palate with light roast to it.. this wasn’t bad necessarily, but it was more like candy than beer.. children, get’cha some.

Little over the top on sweetness for this beer. Even for the style. Poured with a huge light tan, foamy, frothy head and some lace. Color is dark mahoganey. Aroma is malty and a little roasty. Flavor is more full and also includes some caramel and dark ripe fruit. Malty sweetness rules here. Body is full and lush with good carbonation. Finish is exactly what you’d expect in this case - same as above. Almost tastes and feels like a milk or cream beer. Bit sweet for a session.

Bottle in a snifter: Pours dark black with large off white head. Arouma is grainy, lager yeast and chocolate. Flavor is pretty good. Chocolate and licorice. Finishes with alcohol kick.

Bottle BBE 12/08/2008. Opasque dark brown beer with a beige bubbly head. Aroma has suryp, dark chocolate and a bit alcohol. Sweet flavor is malty, nutty, chocolatey some to mention. Medium bodied. Enjoyable and non-expensive beer.

Pours black with brown head, the nose is malts and caramel. The taste is burned and choclate mocha flavor. This is a great baltic porter and I found it at a wonderful price.
