Not incredibly bad...beats most American pale lagers. Tastes more like a pilsener but what do I know. Aroma of corn and not much else. Taste of metal, some hops way in the back and no aftertaste. Just a bland blah beer.

Pours golden with a huge white head that lives a nice lacing, aroma of malt, rice and mollases, flavors of malt, grain, toasted bread and bitter finish, medium bodied. OK

Pale orange colour with thick white head. Malty aroma, slight hop with hint of corriander. Short mouth feel.

Can, small thin head, clear deep golden colour, aroma of vanila with mettalic notes and traces of herbs. Quite alcoholic with hints of malt, sweet and sugary with not enough bitterness to counter, making the beer feels heavy and dull.

Pours light golden with a thin white head. Notes of cracker, pale malt, noble herbal hops, and bready lager yeast. Light bodied with lively carbonation. A pretty enjoy pale lager.

Can, bought in a wine store in Bodegraven.
Pours clear golden with a rather nice, creamy white head. Aroma is sweet, brewing cereal, sugar. Medium carbonation, fair enough mouthfeel. Sweet flavour, a hint of caramel, citric sharp, sugar and lots and lots of sweetness. Good looks, fine feel, shitty beer.

Bottle pours dullish, nice white head. Almost nothing on the nose. Some Dutch lagers hint at pils, but not this one.

16 oz. can. Pours a thin white head, over a yellow (SRM 3) clear body....nose is mild malts, possibly some corn, bit of mild hops.....taste is light malts, finishing with a light hop bitterness which lingers for a few moments. Tasted as a flight with Peters Brand and 3 Horses. This was the best by a tiny bit, but these beers are so similar in appearance, with their lack of nose and taste, as well as light, near watery mouth feel, that they have to be done side by side to differentiate them. None are particularly good.

Oranjeboom is a wonderful, economically sound brew from the Netherlands. While the name might imply more of an impact, the orange flavor is only an afterthought at best. As a lager, it is fairly accessible, but hoppy enough for educated drinkers to find interesting. The most pleasing aspect of this brew is its aroma, which is bold and does carry most of the orange overtones. The brew itself is fairly thin and slightly underwhelming in comparison to its fellow country brews. But by itself, this brew shines. Goes great with seafood, or most anything steamed.
