Pours a sunset yellow with thin head. nose is loaded with hops, big grapefruit hops and pine resin. Pungent as a mofo. Taste is great, very light in body, slight toffee sweetness, but for the most part a fairly dry pale ale with tons of hop flavor, tons of hop bitterness, slightly harsh at times, but overall an amazing and extremely session-able ale.

built for the arizona summer yet somehow it is on tap 11/19/2009 at papago? pours hazy dirty brown-orange-ish copper with a thick creamy white cap. the nose is... wow!... hoppy... peaches, citrus/grapefruit/orange, spice, slight pine and earthy/dirty. the flavor is same...kinda dirty but clean at the same time??... lots of tropical fruit, peaches and citrus dominate the dirt and pale malt. it is bitter, refreshingly dry and almost parching. the body is medium though it has a lightness and a crisp texture. i love that i could drink this all day! 7/4/8/4/16/3.9

tap @ HamiltonsOrange gold color. Small head. Aroma is floral hops and caramel. A medium bodied Pale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are fairly aggressive, floral and citrusy. Lots of malt flavors balanced by a lot of floral hops for a 4.6% ABV beer. Smooth taste. Nice balance. A perfect session beer for a hop-head. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

This is a true pale ale. Hoppy and citrusy but not tongue bending. Just the right amount of carbonation. This is well done.

tap at Avery - Pours amber with a thin off-white head. It has a mild aroma of toasted malt and hops. The flavor is moderately hopped and while good, seems a little strong for the malt character of this beer. It’s still pretty good though.

On tap @ Hamilton’s. Clear copper with a small light beige creamy head, fair retention. Pine and citrus rinds dominate with caramel behind. Flavor has more scorched caramel and some light grain to the aforementioned hops with a tinge of grass. Though the hops are OK, they seem to be lacking a bit. Bitterness peaked at a 4, and the finish was a little chalky. Moderate prickly carbonation with a medium body. Nothing super amazing--it seems like it doesn’t know if it is an APA or IPA.

On draft at the brewery, GABF week 2009. Malty, bready, toasty and citric aroma, some pine, herbal spice and light sweetness. Hazy iced tea-amber color, head and lacing are both thick and intricate. Flavor is hoppy and dry, with a deep bitterness and toasty malt backing, plenty of pine and citrus, with a dry, resinous finish and lingering herbal tones. Very light and well carbonated mouthfeel, drinkable with a light-medium body. Good thirst quencher.
