COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

*Old rating, best before 22.02.12. Mild-weiches, hefig-mildes Bier. Eine leichte Säure liegt im Hintergrund, etwas erdig, getreidig, mild. Sehr lecker. Weich und frisch.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig fruchtig, Getreide. Geschmack fruchtig hefig, getreidig.

Cloudy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma of white bread, lemon juice and a hint of other fruit. Dry and almost fruity tart, with pineapple and lemon flavour and some bready malt.

Bottle @ Bierzwerg.de. 10.000 Tasting @ Home. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Tart fruity nose. A bit of wheat. Lively carbonation. Pineapple and canned peach. Odd and off.

BlackHaddock (15444) - The County Time Forgot, Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 25, 2012
Brown 500ml bottle, best before end of Dec 2009, drank mid-Jan 2010. Poured into a vase shaped pint glass. This is a Bio-Bier! Emmer is a type of wheat. Had I known this before the tasting it would have been poured into the correct glasswear, nowhere on the label was there an indication it was a wheat beer (my German is poor though). I poured the lot in, the sediment turned a clear, very pale yellow beer into a cloudy, darker golden coloured brew, with a few ’floaters’ within. A thin white head sat on top, it looked like a normal wiezen to be honest. It also had an aroma simular to a wiezen, vanilla, citrus and banana type smells. It is a wiezen, tastes like ona anyway, and good one at that! Refreashing, tart and sharp, just like the better wiezen normally are. A pleasant suprise, expected a boring lager/pilsner experience, instead I got a well crafted wiezen from a brewery that hasn’t impressed me with their other beers (so far).

Maria (10208) - Thisted, DENMARK - FEB 15, 2012
It’s a hazy golden beer with a creamy, white and lasting head. The aroma has notes of wheat, light yeast, fruit and flower, and it makes me thinks of a weissbier. The flavour is light to moderately sweet with the same notes as the aroma. Yes, it makes me think of a mild and nice German Weissbier – me like!

Bottle. Blonde, hazy. mango and citrus in the aroma. Sharp citrus flavor. lemon. Cereals. Refreshing.

laiti (11482) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 17, 2012
50 cl bottle, BBE 02/2012
Aroma is something between leichte and normal weisse. Some hay and hints of banana. Also some sweet, marshmallow-like element I am unable to give a name. Flavour is sweetish with banana, bubblegum and some hay. Weird but interesting brew, where german (leichte) hefeweizen meets belgian wit.
