Caged and corked. Subdued orange-yellow and moderately sedimented and a light bubbly head. Very light aroma, a subtle version of canned mandarin oranges. The flavor is creamsicly, gummy, lightly spicy. The mouthfeel is slippery, but almost with a velour texture. At the finish is an odd vegetabley mushroominess or something. Lacks the nice sparkley sweet finish of the best in style. (#3063, 8/24/2007)

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, basement), with notes of gum, clove, pepper, and alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Attractive aroma, but rather sweet. Probably the best of the -ique series from Proef.

7/11/2007: Cuvee Euphorique pours a hazy, deep gold color with a large, foamy light yellow head. The aroma is bready at first and then smells sweet, fruity, and malty on subsequent passes. The flavor is also has a sweet, fruilty maltiness as well as a bit of mustiness. A little alcohol is noticeable when warmer. The body is medium and has a nice mouthfeel and good level of carbonation. Pretty good overall.

750 mL bottle (6.5% Alc. Vol.) shared by Tmoney99 at the Dilly Deli. Thanks Tom! Rating #36 for this beer...

Bottle from Party Town, KY. Poured clear amber with a moderate fizzy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty citrus fruity aroma. Medium body. Medium complex sweet citrus flavor with a medium tart citrus musty finish of moderate duration. Drinkable soft beer.

The aroma is very Belgian. It’s got yeast, malt, spice, and fruit. The appearance is golden with a moderately large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall it’s drinkable but not the best.

Bottle. Pours a bright golden yellow color with a lively, fizzy white head. Aroma is mostly yeast/dough, some spice, citrus, and some malt. The flavor is much the same as aroma, with everything coming together in an odd way. It is not bad, but not very balanced. And too carbonated IMO.

This is almost undrinkable sour. I’ve had a bunch of Belgian beers and this is the first one I TRULY dislike.
