Bomber from Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville. Pours a hazy dark reddish brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of caramel, toffee, booze, and an almost oaky note. The taste is toffee, caramel, raisin, strong raisin and stone fruit in the finish, booze, a very faint earthy note. Medium bodied, low carbonation, moderately hot.

Bottle shared by BVery on the APN bus. Wow! DuClaw kicks some serious ass in the high ABV realm. Hazy light brown pour with a tan head. Sweet malty nose, awesome taste - boozy, caramel, toffee and awesome. Will be looking for this again!

Blonde coloured body with a bright glow and a thick, three centimetre just off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, sugar, malt, bright hops and a bunch of yeast - very nice. Full-bodied; Strong wheat and yeast flavour up front with a lot of alcohol and sugars noticeable, some lighter grassy and herbal notes on the back end though. Aftertaste shows a lot of character with the yeast coming through the most, some coriander seed and curacao noticeable and a hint of hops at the tail end. Overall, a very nice beer and one definitely worth sampling - especially if you are at one of the brewpubs! I sampled this pint [snifter] on draught at the Bowie, Maryland brewpub location on 28-April-2012 for US$6.00.

Bottle at a recent bottle share... Poured deep reddish with a thin, beige head. This was quite sweet. However it still had complexity and definite aspects that made it a Belgian Ale. Notes of vanilla, figs, dates, and other dark fruits, some yeast notes and then even more sweetness in the finish.

22 oz bottle - pours hazy caramel orange with medium, fizzy pop head, white-tan, mostly diminishing. Creamy lacing. Huge aromas of sweet malt, sticky vanilla, dried figs, raisins, touch of orange peel. Taste is more of the same, but more orange on the finish. Bit of burn. Reminiscent of Grand Marnier. Sticky with big sweet malt. Pretty good, but likely much better with a couple years age in the bottle on it.

Poured from a bomber into a brandy snifter. Pours a meh brown with little head and zero lacing. Hot aroma with all sorts of warm dark fruit. Mouthfeel is heavy and sticky as expected. Moderate carbonation gives it some tingle. Taste is Rich and luxurious. Dark fruit, berries of all sorts, some banana, Belgian funk, candi sugar and cinnamon. Very good beer. I was worried that it would have too much booze flavor but it didn't. I highly recommend! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
