Strawberry lolipop aromas. Crisp and dry with sour strawberry jam from front to back. Strawberry is the only flavor I get. GG (1726), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 17, 2006 I had forgotten that this was a "lambic" before I poured so when I got a whiff of the nose I cracked that little "oh yeah" grin. The aroma is somewhat lambic in nature with clear strawberries present, but there is a very slight vinegary funk in the nose. Appearance is light red/orange in color, sort of like a light tea. Mouthfeel is nice, although not nearly on par with some of the better lambics floating about these days. It’s STILL has a nice feel in there with a bit of a puckering swish to it. Flavors are slightly sour, like biting into an underripe strawberry (in the beer world, thats a good thing) but still hangs on to that acidic angle. Finish is clean. Overall, quite an excellent beer and one that I find could be consumed in large amounts during one evening. I will be looking for this one again. tomthompson89 (1528), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 4, 2006 I bought this for my wife to try since she mostly likes sweet and fruit-type beer... Color is mostly red with a purple tint to it., slightly hazy. Visible carbonation is lively and it has a fizzy pink head. Aroma is like strawberries and cream, sweet, with a little hint of cough syrup. Flavor is mostly real strawberry (not artificial tasting at all) and somewhat tart (in a good way - like a berry fresh off the bush). There is a slight sour cherry flavor in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium and not fizzy at all. My wife liked this one much better than any of the other fruit beers that I have recently brought home for her.
12 oz bottle, $5.49+tax from River’s Bend.
