Commercial Description:
Chambly Noire is a smooth and creamy dark beer with a beige and persistent head. Its torrefaction aromas and slight bitterness enable it to perfectly accompany various fish dishes, strong cheeses and chocolate desserts.

Thin yellowish beige head. Deep opaque brown body. Deep sweetish malty blackberry aroma with fruity notes. Dry sweetish earthy flat blackberry taste with dry chalky notes. It’s not bad. (0.75l bottle at RBNAG’07.)

Sweet and fruity aroma. Brown in color with descent head. A sweet brown ale with a malty finish. Notes: Beer Advocate Belgian Beer Fest (Boston) ’09

This was an awesome beer. Body is dark, but the aroma is fruit - raisin or plum. Really nice taste. Such a great brewery, now they need to come out with some more brews.

Dark copper, cloudy underneath, good foamy retention, medium carbonation. Aromas are complex of sour apples, wood(from lees), wheat, sharp caramel, spices, undertone of zesty hops. The flavor of sour apples, caramel, slight raisin, light wood, spices. Sour, dry/tart, slight sweetness, earthy, clean finish. Gotta love how Unibroue treat there beers like fine wine.

This is the 4th and final 12 ounce beer from a World Market sampler pack. Pours a dark brown with a nice medium tan head, minimal lacing. Aroma consists of yeast, pear and notes of chocolate. Tastes sweet with a nice mouth feel. A good beer.

Very dark, almost opaque with no head. Sweet aroma of figs, overripe fruit, slightly woody. Watery feel with no carbonation. Sweet, almost sherry-like. Not much bitterness, clean finish. Hints of raisins, figs, cooked vegetables. Not much hop. Good, but not great. Description mentions persistant head, and mine had none. A better texture would have done alot for it. Maybe something was wrong with the tap?

Bottle, 13C. Dark brown with a coating tan head. Restrained nose has sweet malt and citrus peel. Mild taste - it’s fruity sweet with a little sourness and bitterness. Quite carbonated mouthfeel. Lacks depth and character, but it’s certainly pleasant and balanced.

Almost black in the glass with a light tan head. Aroma reminds me of dried fruits. Some sweetness present as well.
