Cask@Dog and duck, London. Hazy orangeish amber color with small slightly off-white head. Aroma is Caramel malts, some fruity and floral hoppyness as well as mild nutty notes. Flavour is quite the same. Nice sweetish bitter brew.

26th September 2008. Soft almost creamy bitter with a very mild hop profile. Not a bad beer just pretty bland.

500ml bottle conditioned. Poured a rather cloudy, murky orange colour, with no head or carbonation, possibly due to its being a few weeks past its best before date. However the taste was non the worse for this. Citrus and hops were quite prominent in this malty beer which had a pleasing balance between sweetness & bitterness. Medium bodied. An easy drinking beer with a flowery finish.

Cask handpull at Market Porter, London, Pale chestnut, lasting beige head. Quite a nice biscuity malty best bitter. Bit of vinegar on aroma. But ok.

Bottle. Quite malty, and sweet. Slightly stodgy, malt mashy flavour to it. Looks really amazing, but the flavour is stodgy, and dull, pretty dull. Don’t get too much hops in the this. Earthy.

Bottle at home as Suma Elphine Brook ... ligth hazy copper ... sour tinge nose ... sour tinged fruityness... not wholy unplesant but i doubt its at its best ... quite lemony fruity ... little zezt ... little lemon rind... wonder if its meant to be like this as its an odd one and its growing on me... but im still not sure its right

Cask-conditioned at The Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol 13/9/08. Deep amber in colour with a slight, off-white head. Red fruit and sweet malt aroma. Malty flavour with some yeast and a short bitter finish. Forgettable.

Bottle (in NZ), pours a dark gold with a filmy foam white head. Lots of yeast in the aroma, with some juicy malt. Tart and fruity on the palate, with citric acidicness. I would say it hasn’t travelled too well, but some of the UK-based comments say the same. I’ll give it a couple of extra marks just in case.
