Flavor is sweet and earthy: gooseberries (one would assume), grainy wheat and a bit of honey. Not bad. Different. Nekronos (2347), Xalapa, Mexico

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 19, 2005 Hazy golden hue, with a shy white head, with wheat, pale malt, fruity of gooseberries in the aroma, follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with wheat character, fruity of gooseberries and myrtles, even hint of cacao beans, go figure!, leading towards a fruity acidic and a modest hoppy finish. beerbill (2077), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2008 11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted until mid glass and left partial lace. Very light aroma of wheat and a few whisps of gooseberry. Basically indistinct. The flavor is actually quite nice with a noticeable amount of gooseberry and some wheat notes. Smooth at the finish with virtually no bitterness. Refreshing. Went well with my hamburger today for lunch. TheJester (792), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 30, 2007 330 mL bottle. Orange gold in colour with a file of head. The aroma contains malt, honey and fresh fruit. Some indistinguishable herb as well. The flavour is quite unique. There seem to be quite a few things going on, but somehow they’re all mushed together. I can taste the wheat, the gooseberries, and some other stuff Something cinnamonny. At the end, for some reason, it reminds me of pop rocks. Quite dry and crisp. Interesting. Gpnterojd (165), Orangeville, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 4, 2007 Pours yellowy gold with a small head. Aroma is very sweet, with a noticeable (cran?)berry tinge, nutmeg and some other spices, and a little wheat. The flavour is weaker. Mild, sweet, very malty -- something tastes slightly berry, but it’s difficult to see where the gooseberries fit in. Some wheat and spices as well. Easy to drink and light -- but definitely not worth the outrageous price (at least here). ILoveNewBeer (113), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 2, 2008 There isn’t much initial flavor that I found but the after taste is sweet and leaves your mouth wet and satisfied some how.
Pours a pale amber like many domestics, little head, slight citrus aroma.
