Orange in color with a lacy sort of head. Nice hoppy smell with fruits and floral present. Weaker than I like in a IPA but very drinkable.

Bottle: While not as dominating with the hops as I was expecting, this beer is nonetheless delicious. It smells like flowers and has an oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. The onset is citrus and the finish is pine. Very good.

Draft at Franklins. Orange-tan color, steady thin head. Hoppy orange citrus aroma. Lots of hop character, very zesty and full of fresh, green hop flavor. Chewy mouthfeel, with some noticeable alcohol. Nice crisp, cool finish. Well done.

12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of fiulijn. Pours clear and deep orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is solid grapefruity and pinewood hoppy. Caramelish and overripe fruity hops flavoured. Bitter and dry into a roasted caramelish finish. Dry hoppy and caramelish malty.

Pours a clear light amber color with lots of bubbles and a white head. Significant lacing on glass. Aroma is of citrus, mostly orange. Taste is incredibly smooth for an IPA. Definitely get some orange taste on the back end. On the front end there’s a bit of maltiness. Very well-balanced, with just the right amount of bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and long-lasting. A delightful, drinkable beer. Highly recommended.

Pours a clear amber color with a thin head, some life. Has an aroma of grapefruit, citrus, and apricot, with a hint of caramel. Has a somewhat creamy bitterness taste with a sweet finish. The mouthfeel kills this for me. Too watery and a bit bland for me (and not just with regard to bitterness). With triple hops and the abv at over 7% you would think this is a 2IPA and yet it feels more like an IPA.

Light copper in color light laced head. Surprising powerful unique aroma! A mixture of fruity and citrus hops, apricot(aprihop), grapefruit, with just a touch of caramel. The mouth value wasn’t as high as what I was smelling...But the aromas do carry very well to the flavors, just slightly lighter...Has that fruity/citrus combo with nice apricot and grapefruit with just a little caramel poking through the finish. Bitter, slightly sweet, slightly dry. If I could get a buzz off sniffing this all day I would...

Poured a crystal clear light amber with a filmy white head. Strong sweet caramel aroma. Hops seem to be an after thought on this one. Flavor is also sweet caramel with a grassy hop bite. Easy drinker with an abrupt bitter finish.

I agree with Blazer below, a very smooth IPA - minimal bitterness, yet maintaining the essential grassy underpinnings of an IPA. I am embarrassed to admit that I have always been turned off by the cartoon labeling of the Clipper City Heavy Seas Brand, but once taking a chance I have been very impressed by the quality of the product. Recommended.
