Very clean and crisp with enough grassy notes to get going. Malty without the roasted notes and plenty of piney hops. thornecb (1918), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing to mottle surface. Sour hay aromas. Sour cereal and caramel upfront. Flattening to an abrupt clean finish that then comes back after a few seconds to be a little saazy. Extra points for the very interesting finish. hotstuff (3196), Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 10, 2009 Bottle. Small white fizzy head that mostly diminished, cloudy yellow body with fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma was malty, hoppy, fruity, some spicy notes, and barnyard. Ditto for the flavor along with somewhat of a refreshing taste. Tingly mouthfeel and a medium bodied beer. Easy to drink beer, but not a beer that left me wanting to drink again because I was not that impressed with the taste. thedm (3837), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a hazy typically carbonated yellow-white colored body and a very good lacing. The aroma was malty and musty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and was semi-sweet. An OK brew just nothing special. Pours a hazy gold with a small foamy head. Fruity hoppy aroma. Almost a grapefruit presence in the taste. Pretty good clean finish. I was pumped to try this but in the end it is nowhere near as good as the Oppigards winter brew. carruthm (1283), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Sampled on 6/26/2009. This lager pours a medium orange gold color from a 500ml bottle, Medium sized white foamy head, with nice retention and decent lacing. The aroma is fruity, cereal and hoppy. A medium bodied Premium lager. The malts are fruity and cereal, a touch bready. The hops are spicy and grapefruity. There are a whole lot of hops for a lager. Good balance. Nice carbonation. Yup it’s well hopped lager alright. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
