Draught at Olutravintola Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Finland. THE Best Finnish Beer ever made. One of the finest Imperial Stouts I’ve ever tasted, with a full body and a ton of hops, roasted malt and smoke in its taste. Hints of bitterness, chocolate and liquourice as well.

Black color, small tan head; roasted malty and herbal hoppy aroma, also slightly fruity in the background; medium to full body, still quite drinkable due to carbonation; flavor is heavily dominated by herbal bitterness mixing with licorice, alcohol and sweet notes. The Jägermeister of beers probably and therefore not quite my favorite.

Draught at Plevna, Tampere, Finland on 9th August 2008. Black as printing ink and sports a handsome pale brown head. One of the finest stouts I have drunk in recent years. Full-bodied, very strong hoppiness for a stout as well as delectable roasted malt and smokiness. Very bitter chocolate notes too. Totally exquisite and recommended.

Draught, 40 cl glass at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Quite black with a tan head. An aroma of hints to hops, coffee, some chocolate and roasted malt. Hoppy bitterness in the taste is soon overwhelmed by sweet malts, chocolate and roastiness.

Pitch black color, off white head. Sweet honey, blood oranges, dark chocolate, liquorice all make an appearance, in this somewhat unusual brew. Sweet malty backbone and a long bitter finish.
