Commercial Description:
Hampshire has a huge toasted malt flavor balanced by assertive hoppiness. The finish is long and lingering with the malt and hop notes blending with alcohol warmth. Two row English malts (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt. Hood and East Kent Golding hops.

Brown with red and orange hues and an off white head. It is quite clear with nice carbonation. It’s got a big malty aroma with carmel, roasted and nutty tones. Very enviting. The flavor is smooth and very full. A roasted and carmel malt is most noticable and it’s finish is a bit bitter and then covered by a smooth round malt flavor.

from the bottle. poured deep amber with a smal off white head. aroma, sweet berries, honey, cherries, caramel, toffee, malt and hops. flavor, didn’t let me down the flavor was just like the aroma, but the honey took a back seat to the rest of the flavors and got a nice touch of alcohol. a good beer.

12oz - Aroma is malty, sweet tart candy, caramel and hops. Pours copper with a medium head and great lacing. Flavor is bready malt, caramel and finishes with an earthy hop bite. Palate is creamy and smooth. Above average, easy drinking and tasty.

Burned almond into the glass, with an initially sudsy head that diminishes rather quickly, leaving very light spiderlace. The nose is of caramel, nuts, burned toffee and indistinct spices (sours). The taste does have a heavy malt contingency, with some toffee, caramel and nuts. This is hopped assertively (sorry, but the commercial description has the best word). It lends the mid-palate into the back-palate with a burned toast and biscuit finish. There is a bit of holiday spice effervescence, maybe vanilla, left behind. Definitely not a bad brew. The alcohol does show up slightly with a small astringent note. Decent offering!

12oz bottle from Dorwart. Toasted bread aroma along with some sweet citrus. Darker orange body with decent head. Sugar sweet sticky citrus flavor with some toast in the background. Sweetness lingers on the palate. Good brew.

Pours golden orange, slightly cloudy with a frothy white head. Citrus, malt aroma with notes of sweet grass (and maybe a little skunky). Flavours are quite pleasant: Citrus fruits, some caramel and fairly strong hop. Full bodied.

2000 bottle, labelled ’millenium’ - shared courtesy of kp. Medium brown and clear pour. Aged caramel malty aroma, with a touch of something vanilla-ish. Or perhaps I had some Stoney Creek Vanilla Porter still in my glass. Aged malty flavors, some hops, and nice finish.
