UPDATED: DEC 16, 2022 Die Klosterbrauerei Metzingen dient heute das Kloster Pilsner an. Ich hab es beim Edeka gekauf. Der Geruch nach Kuhstall überrascht bei einem Pilsner. Die Nase sucht Hopfen, findet aber keinen. Ansonsten goldgelb glanzfein mit wenig standfester, daumendicker und mittelporiger Krone. Beim Antrunk gibt es dann doch grasige Aromen, jedoch wenig ausgeprägt und von einem getreidigen Körper begleitet. Beim Abgang nicht wesentlich bitterer - für ein Pils reicht das nicht. 07-2021

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2019 Clear golden with a white head that dilapidates quickly. Taste is grainy with a little honey. Lacks bitterness, though.

500ml bottle; BB 3rd Jan 19. Bought in the Cochem EDEKA and drank at home on 8th Oct 18. Looked lovely in my old Veltins glasses, bright, clean and clear golden body, snow white cloud of foam on top. Slight malty nose, malts also lead in the flavours, mild herbal twist in the taste. Good for a cheap supermarket beer.

Helder lichtgeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig en weinig uitgesproken. Typisch een supermarkt bier met weinig inhoud. Het smaak dat zeker maar daar is alles mee gezegd.

The beer is a typical pilsener. The color of the beer is a rather light golden yellow. The beer is quite clear, but there is a very little, minimal blur. The beer pours a normal layer of white rough foam, which collapses very quick. Not even a tiny drape of foam remains. I haven’t seen a lot of beers with no foam remaining whatsoever. The smell of the beer is simple but good. I smell some fresh hops, with a little herbal aroma. There are also some nice malty aromas. The beer is in good balance, with nice bitters and sweets. The taste is also simple but good. It’s a nice combination between malts and hops. A good pilsner, better than most factory pilseners. A nice easy drinkable beer.

The beer has got a clear golden colour with a crisp body and small head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Taste of hops, citrus, malt and bread. Metallic finish.

Too bad one cannot scor 1/2 points, this score is bit too high. Pale clear yellow, white foam head. Pilsner aroma and taste, very average. (Velp 201603)

Shared with wim at wim’s place. Clear blond colored with small white head and no carbonation. Herby hopped aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is bitter sweet.
